Our mission is to partner with the Texas WIC State Agency, advocate for WIC's mission, and provide a framework for WIC Directors. Through, TALWD, WIC Directors are able to come together to discuss and plan for the impact of trends, work through challenges affecting participation and program function, look for ways to improve out program services, and provide support to one another.

Business and Finance

Committee Description

Formulate the organization’s annual business plan. Present the annual budget in coordination with the Treasurer to the TALWD board at the first Quarterly Board Meeting of the calendar year, and approve at the second quarterly board meeting.
Review and approve in a timely manner all contract entered into by the organization.
Review and approve TALWD Co-Sponsored Event requests.
Work with TALWD Annual Meeting Planning committee to set up hotel/event contracts.
Work with the Marketing Committee for the recruitment of vendors at the annual meeting.
In conjunction with the Marketing Committee coordinate activities for TALWD sponsored events or seminars.
