Christina Brandy Patteson

I have proudly served as the WIC Director for the City of Port Arthur Health Department for the past 10 years and have dedicated my career to strengthening the WIC program and supporting local agency directors across Texas.

My commitment to the Texas Association of Local WIC Directors has allowed me to serve in a variety of leadership roles over the years, including Regional Representative, two terms as Second Vice President, two terms as First Vice President, six years as Chair of the Technology Task Force, and continued service as a member of the Technology Task Force. I was honored to receive the 2023 TALWD Art Fuston Award, a recognition that reflects my dedication to serving our association and its members.

I had the privilege of stepping into the role of Treasurer to complete a fellow board member's unexpired term. During that time, I helped plan the TALWD Annual Business Meeting and Conference while strengthening the organization's fiscal accountability. My efforts have included reviewing financial processes, identifying spending deficits and opportunities for improvement, and proposing fee updates and other financial practices to help ensure our association's long-term financial sustainability.

I love TALWD's mission and believe in the important role our association plays in supporting local WIC directors across Texas. I am grateful to TALWD members for the opportunities they have given me to serve over the years.
